America's Silent Crisis

The United States lags significantly behind other countries in reducing stillbirth rates, with stark racial disparities persisting for BIPOC mothers. The USPAL Network is committed to addressing these challenges through a focus on improving patient experiences, mental health, and birth outcomes.

Putting the Voices and Needs of Pregnant Women at the Heart of Healthcare Transformation

Women who have experienced a loss are at increased risk of recurrent loss and complications in subsequent pregnancies. Embarking upon a subsequent pregnancy brings increased psychological, emotional, and social challenges.

USPAL Network Clinics deliver compassionate, evidence-based care through personalized prenatal plans. Each patient receives enhanced support that may include additional appointments, extended consultation times, increased ultrasound monitoring, wherever possible, continuity of care, and dedicated emotional support from sensitivity-trained staff.

Collaborating with Patient Advocates & Nationally Recognized Practitioners
The USPAL Network is a national partnership dedicated to improving care, research, and outcomes for families with a history of loss in the United States. Building on international success, the first three U.S.-based Pregnancy After Loss (PAL) clinics were launched by Mount Sinai, Columbia University, and the University of Utah, along with two non-profit organizations created and run by loss parents: The Natalie Foundation and The Iris Fund.
